The cadet pilot programme at Chimes Aviation Academy is divided into three structured phases conducted entirely in India.
Phase 1 – Ground School Training

Education: 10+2 with minimum 51% in Physics, Mathematics, and English

Medical: Valid DGCA Class 1 Medical Certificate

Selection & Assessment Process
CAA IndiGo Cadet Pilot Programme – Selection Stages
The INDIGO cadet pilot programme selection process is conducted in three eliminatory stages:
Stage 1 – ADAPT Assessment
Online psychometric and aptitude testing to evaluate cognitive ability and behavioural traits.
Stage 2 – Group Task Assessment
Group exercises with IndiGo panellists to assess teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Stage 3 – Personal Interview
Final interview with IndiGo representatives, followed by issuance of a Letter of Intent (LoI) upon selection.
